Guide Dogs for the Blind have had to adjust their training methods in the times of COVID-19. Photo courtesy of Guide Dogs for the Blind.
I’ve been without a Guide Dog for a little while now and folks continue to ask me regularly about it. Guide Dogs for the Blind is providing regular updates on the status for managing COVID-19 as well as finding the right match for my future partnership. There are some big paws to follow in Ostend, Quinn and Autumn. While Nama is certainly a helpful dose of puppy play, affection, and challenge here at home, there is some guiding teamwork ahead for me which is getting closer but still likely a bit of a wait. I suspect I’ll have my vaccination before the big news arrives.
Along with their regular updates for me, they have a fun and informative blog entitled “No Bones About it” which shares some of their creative steps to make training possible during these different times.
Check out their innovations and other insightful sharings to stay updated on the journey ahead for me: Training Innovations in the time of COVID | Guide Dogs for the Blind
Be well,
