I feel the data this app is using is sorted stored and used for faster recognition only. I do not think it is an invasion of privacy in a world where you can't move from your home to the bank and grocery store without being caught on camera from several different locations. I think it is a wonderful tool and should be used without concern. I can see just fine, but it might decrease the odds of my breaking my neck due to a hazard of seeing: looking at the view or the cute snowboarders instead of what I'm supposed to be watching.
